This performance, in Swindon shopping centre during the town's Performance Festival, was one of the first which made it possible for a passing audience to engage with the ensemble, both as an event and to hang out afterwards to chat and explore the instruments. The realisation that a vast range of people were excited by the ideas and the approach, led on to many further outdoor venues, such as, soon after, the South Bank Centre in London, International Festival of Performance in Bracknell and Dartington College.
